Schotzy's Page
Schotzy was born of well-to-do parents
in Kiev.  They learned, however, early in
Schotzy's life that he was not destined to
live the simple life of a rich child in the
city.  At the young age of three months
Schotzy's parents, Motel and Kavala sent
him to his destiny.  He awoke the next
day in the back woods of Anatevka to
start his life anew.
As Schotzy got older, his body grew
like a weed, as did his beard.  He soon
grew in commerce and wealth, as his
woodland cunning made him the sole
distributor of Moonshine in Anatevka.
It was not long before Schotzy sold his
business for a poor girl from town named
Shaindel.  It was love at first payment.  It
wasn't long before Shaindel was with
child.  Or, children, as it were.
After the twins, Motel and Hotel were
born, money became a problem for the
crafty Schotzy and his bride, but this
would not stop him for an instant. After
their move back to the woods, the family
became weary.  If his keen mathematical
skills had taught Schotzy anything, it was
that 3 mouths were less than 4, and
anything could be bought.  Soon, Hotel
had a new mother and father back in
Kiev, and Schotzy and family were living
back in Anatevka.
Motel grew and prospered under the
gentle care of Shaindel, but Schotzy grew
tired of life in town.  The call of the wild
beckoned him back to yonder woods and
his Moonshine enterprise.  He left his wife
and son for the vast alcoholic bliss of life
in the woods.  This is his story in pictures.
Schotzy whispers sweet nothings into his
blushing bride's ear.  He's so smooth.
Shotzy gives a "thumbs up" to local Milkman Tevye.
Shotzy and Tevye had a wonderful trade relationship,
exchanging milk and cheese for adult beverages.
Schotzy cheers on the Russians.  Those crazy Russians!
A proud father, Schotzy held his
twin sons in tow for a brief time.
Shaindel and Shotzy dote on their
bouncing baby boy Motel.  Isn't he cute?
Gezundheit Shaindel!
